International Collaboration Underway: Orion Horse Shoes SA and the United Arab Emirates

A few weeks ago, we had the great honor of welcoming the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates to our headquarters in Crassier. This prestigious visit marked the beginning of a promising dialogue between our Swiss startup and the UAE, centered around innovation in farriery and equine technology.

Since then, we have been officially recognized by the Ministry of the United Arab Emirates, and discussions are actively ongoing to explore the development of our Orion solution in the region.

Our ambition: to build a bridge between Switzerland and the UAE, showcasing our expertise and bringing advanced, precision-crafted hoof care solutions to horses around the world—combining artisanal tradition with cutting-edge technology.

Innovation laureate 2024

The Innovation Prize of the Nyon Region, worth CHF 20,000, was awarded on Thursday, March 21, to Orion Shoes SA.
The company Orion Horse Shoes SA, based in Gland, has developed a 'custom horse shoe' system through a mobile application designed to digitally create shoeing tailored to criteria specifically studied for the horse's well-being.

Our team

Our company is run by two founders, Cyril, a farrier, and Philippe, an experienced IT specialist. Their complementary expertise has been essential in building and developing our business.

Completing our team is Auléine, our sales consultant, who leverages her expertise in consulting and customer loyalty to address our clients' needs. Together, our dedicated and close-knit team delivers exceptional support with passion and professionalism.

Jonathan, a computer engineer from the EPFL, is responsible for the design of all Orion software, including the measurement module.

Christophe Du Moulin, a mechanical and materials engineer, is in charge of the manufacturing process. His expertise is essential to guarantee the production of our high-quality horseshoes.

Finally, several other farriers and veterinarians have contributed to the development of our business by contributing their expertise as external collaborators.
